Concerts take place at Darnton & Hersh Fine Violins in downtown Chicago and are often connected with our Launchpad Project, which brings talented and energetic young artists to the forefront of Chicago’s chamber music scene, but we also present established artists in concert. A reception follows each performance, providing audience members the opportunity to meet and talk with the artists. We're gradually resuming offering concerts since our move to 11 East Adams; you may also wish to view examples of programs we've hosted in the past.

Janet Sung with William Wolfram
Tuesday, November 14 at 6:30 pm$10 - $25
An exciting late addition! Darnton & Hersh Fine Violins is thrilled and privileged to present two internationally-acclaimed artists, violinist Janet Sung with long-time collaborator and friend, pianist William Wolfram, in a special preview concert of the program the two will record for the Grammy-winning Sono Luminus label. Tickets are available for the varied program, which includes two masterpieces by Benjamin Britten and Georges Enescu, and contemporary works by three of today’s most dynamic composers, Missy Mazzoli, Daniel Visconti and Gabriel Prokofiev.
The concert, scheduled at 6:30 pm as an “after-work” event, will be held in the intimate South Salon in our new location at 11 East Adams, Suite 1450, and marks our one-year anniversary in this space. A reception with the artists follows the concert.
We encourage purchasing tickets early as space is limited. Tickets are $25 General Admission and only $10 Student Admission.
